Screen to Speed Dream Team Makes History with a P4 Finish in the iRacing Daytona 24!

This past weekend, the Screen to Speed Dream Team proved that women belong at the highest level of sim racing, securing an impressive 4th place overall in the LMP2 class at the iRacing Daytona 24. Competing against some of the fiercest endurance racing teams in the world, Nina Hahn, Beitske Visser, Sara Dove, and Esmeralda Beemsterboer took on the virtual high banks of Daytona International Speedway, delivering an unforgettable performance that showcased skill, strategy, and resilience.


What makes this feat even more remarkable? They were the only all-female team in the competition.

Endurance racing is not for the faint of heart. The Daytona 24 is one of the most grueling events on the iRacing calendar, demanding flawless execution, strategic pit stops, and relentless focus over 24 hours of wheel-to-wheel racing. The LMP2 class is known for its high competition level, requiring a delicate balance of speed, fuel management, and consistency.


The Screen to Speed Dream Team delivered on all fronts. From the green flag to the checkered, guided by Team Manager Yvonne Houffelaar, they battled through intense traffic, avoided race-ending incidents, and executed perfect driver swaps. Their P4 finish stands as a testament to their endurance and skill, proving that they could go head-to-head with some of the top sim racers in the world.


Breaking Barriers in Sim Racing


The significance of this achievement goes beyond the result. Screen to Speed was built on a mission: to elevate women in sim racing and motorsports. While the esports and racing industries have been historically male-dominated, initiatives like Screen to Speed are actively changing the narrative, proving that talent has no gender.
